What is generative engine optimization (GEO)?
GEO — also called answer engine optimization (AEO) — is the practice of making your business the answer when customers ask AI tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, or Google’s AI Overviews who to hire. It’s structured data, authoritative third-party mentions, and machine-readable content rather than classic keyword chasing.
Is traditional SEO dead?
Not dead — demoted. AI Overviews now appear on roughly half of Google searches and cut organic clicks dramatically, and the sites AI cites overlap less and less with the top-10 rankings. Local discovery still runs through Google Business Profile and Maps. We optimize for where the answers actually come from in 2026.
What does a GEO engagement look like?
It starts with an AI visibility audit: we query the major AI engines the way your customers do and document where you show up — usually nowhere.
